Christmas is just around the corner, so we have put together three simple and easy Christmas DIY decorations you can put up in your house. Light a Christmas candle, blast some carols and get the family together to make these decorations, it will truly get you in the Christmas Spirit!
1. ORNAMENT WREATH
What you will need:
– Wire coat hanger
– Various sized Christmas baubles
– Any other decorations you want to include – e.g. pinecones, tinsel, ribbon, greenery
– Hot glue gun
Method:
– Bend your wire hanger to resemble a more circular type shape.
– Arrange ornaments how you please and stick them to the wire hanger using the hot glue gun.
– Get creative!
2. PAPER TREE ORNAMENTS
What you will need:
– Scrapbook paper in various Christmas theme patterns and colours
– Pencil
– Something circular to trace
– Scissors
– Glue
– Craft wire
– Twine/Ribbon
Method:
– Use your circular object to trace 12 circles on that paper, then cut them out. You make like to use different colours of paper for some creative flair.
– Fold the circles in half and stack them on top of each other.
– Wrap a length of wire all the way around the stack, so that it runs along the fold. Twist the ends together to secure.
– Stick a dot of glue onto a circle, about 1/3 of the way from the bottom. Fold the facing flaps together and press to secure the bond.
– On the next circle along, stick a glue dot about 1/3 of the way from the top. Continue like this all the way around, alternating high and low glue dots.
– Once you have finished gluing, attach a ribbon to the top and hang it on your tree!

3. CHRISTMAS COASTERS
What you will need:
– Wooden scrabble tiles
– Roll of cork
– Hot glue gun
– Stanley knife
Method:
– Brainstorm some four-letter Christmas themed words and write them down.
– Arrange the scrabble tiles to spell out your Christmas words, 4 x 4-letter words make for the perfect coaster size.
– Once you have figured out what order you want your words to go in use the hot glue gun to stick them to the cork.
– Use the Stanley knife to cut around the edges and there you have it! Coaster, done.
